Windows 2000 and Driect X

Does Windows 2000 come with a direct X install. If so,
how is it activated and what version is it?

No it does not come with Direct X.
You can however, download it from Windows Update.

Windows 2000 comes with DirectX 7.0.

1. Start -> Run.
2. Type dxdiag, hit Enter

This will give you the DirectX diagnostics tool that tells you your version
info and give you some diagnostics tools.
