How do I minimize the current window and open another site at the same time.
On compuserv I was able to open a site and have a minimize feature to keep it
active while I opened another site. I cannot locate a minimize/maximize
button on the site page, only on the explorer window itself. Thanks for any
assistance...

If this was a feature that Compuserve added into the HTML while downloading
the page then there is nothing much you can do about it. If you want to
minimize to the taskbar then the window gadget will do it, but that doesn;t
necessarily keep the page "Active", if you are signed on to a site like you
bank that has a security timeout it will still timeout, and frankly it would
be a bad idea not to.

IE7 is supposed to have "Tabbed" browsing, you can get this with the FireFox
browser now if it is a must have. I'm thinking maybe you like the browser
full screen and maybe that would be worth a look. Personally I prefer the
windows overlaid and use the buttons on the taskbar to switch or else click
in the corner of a window, but personal preferences are of course different
for everybody.

Thanks Charlie. I don't understand the windows overlaid and which buttons to
switch and I don't have anything to click on in the corner of the window. The
only button I see are the ones at the top right corner of Explorer. That will
take me off line. I have to use the back button to get out of a site I'm
viewing. Is there another option to closing the current site without using
the back button? I'm sorry if I'm not expressing myself correctly. Thanks,

There should be three buttons in the upper right corner of the window. The
left-most has an underline and should minimize the window to the taskbar.

In any case, if there isn't a button on the taskbr for each windos, there
should be one for Internet Explorer. Click that and you should get a
choice.
