window xp pro hangs

All was working well until last night.The window logo
comes on and then the screen goes blank.Any help would be
appreciated.No new software/hardware installed
recently.Thanks

are you using any anti-virus software....if so...which one...

no antivirus software.when the computer is turned on, all
the bios detail come,then window xp pro start loading
with the bars and then it just hangs and screen goes
blank.dont even get to desktop screen.Any other thoughts?

you have to be next to an I...T not to be using anti-virus software when
connected to the WWW....bet you'll get some now...

wish I could help ya...get some AV fast...and install it...
