window size

For some unexplained reason, for the last couple of weeks
when i go to open up new windows i.e. web sites or my
e'mail box, they appear very small and i need to press
the 'restore' button to correct their size. What can i do
to make them open correctly straight away - i.e. large
size.

open 1 window, open a second window, close the first window, manually drag the sides of the remaining (2nd) window to full size and then close it.

Use your mouse to stretch the window to full screen, then close the window
by clicking File and then Close. Don't use the red X. This works for IE,
OE and Windows Explorer.
