Window size in IE

How do I get the windows to open to a maximized position?
I have the main window open like this, but any other
window opens from a small window to an almost full window.

I have tried to open the window by dragging the sides
with the mouse and then pressing control when closing the
window. This works about 50% of the time. When accessing
the internet from Messenger, it always opens a window
that is not fully open.

Thank you.
 
Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.
