In windows XP when I clicked on send/receive it brought up a window to log
on to my server to get my mail. My username was all ready typed in and all I
had to do was type in my password. In Vista mail when I click on
send/receive a window opens to log on to my mail server. The problem is I
can't get it to hold my username, so all I have to do is type in my
password. Where can I go to change this setting? Thanks

Thanks Shawn for the answer. Now my problem is I can't find the message I
sent to this newsgroup. I know it got here because you answered my message.
Why can't I see it on this newsgroup? Thanks

You might click on Tools, then Message Rules, then News, then go down
the list of rules to see if you've killfiled yourself or someone who posts
with
the same return address. If so, click on the rule and then Remove. If this
has happened, you still won't see that post, but you should see your future
posts.

Thanks

I went into Tools, Message rules, then the tab for news rules. There is
nothing in those windows. Although I didn't understand the killfiled
yourself. I can't see the message for this question either.

You killfiled yourself if you told it to delete all messages coming in
with your return address. Then you won't see them.

One more possibility: Click on Tools, then Junk E-mail Options,
then Blocked Senders. If you see your email address on the
list, or just the part after @, click on it and then Remove.
Click on OK.

Well my e-mail address was in the Block senders list. I will see if this
message shows now. How did my address get in the block senders list? Thanks
for the help

Then click Tools | Junk Mail Options and look at the Blocked Senders.

Works great now. I seen the message that I sent saying I removed my name
from the block senders list. GREAT

I saw it. There's no telling how your address got there if no one
else posts to newsgroups with the same return address.
