You have a damaged shortcut or Registry command that is causing this, most likely. The issue arises when you have a path to a file with spaces in the name. Depending on where this program is being loaded from the 'path' must be in quotes.

Click Start, Run and enter MSCONFIG or MSINFO32. Both of these utilities will help you identify what is loading at startup and from where. For MSCONFIG, use the Startup tab. For MSINFO32, use the Software Environment, Startup Programs section.

You can also see www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. It will generate a log file that can be copied and pasted into a reply. Generally the Running Processes and Running Services sections are not necessary for this type of problem.
