window on top?

Is there any freeware or other solution that can be used to make any window
of my choice "stay on top" of the active window? Rather than being covered
up by the active window.

Try Actual Title Buttons 2.5 from http://www.actualtools.com/
It has few good features but it's not freeware though

WinOnTop - http://www.tsm-soft.com/category/desktop/deskpro016.html

StayOnTop - (webpage seems to be 'gone' ! Do a 'google')... I use this one
because it's just easier for me to have a small pushpin added to "most"
window screens up near the max/min button... but it's just a tad flaky on
WindowsXP ... I like it though.

Also: have a look at this (something new with more features) I use this
also...

RBTray 2.7

"Allows you to minimize windows in the tray area on taskbar by clicking
right mouse button on the window's minimize box or from system menu or
from window's system menu (+). Allows to set any window in "Always on
top" state from window's system menu. "
