Is Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail the same program. If different what
is the advantage of Windows Live Mail.

What is the Windows Live and what is its advantage.

(Using Vista 32 and Vista 64.)

No.

For some people the fact that WLM handles multiple mail accounts similar to
the way OE did - with separate inboxes for each - is a huge advantage. WM
handles multiple mail accounts, but puts everything in one inbox, as Outlook
does.

They are both free, and while Windows Live Mail may have some technical
advantages, you may not like the slightly different interface.

You should try them to see which you prefer. To prevent unwanted mail
migration, set your Windows Mail account to "leave a copy of messages on the
server", *before* installing Windows Live Mail.

Also, on some systems (like mine), Windows Live Mail won't install if
Windows Live Messenger isn't installed first. So, if the install of WLM
fails, install the Messenger first.

If I'm not mistaken, all the recent versions of WLM default to
"Leave a copy of messages on server".
