Here are two programs that give you information about the windows that are
running on your computer. It's pretty technical stuff, but it may be useful
to you. Using these programs, you can do all kinds of things with your
windows.
Dis@
http://freehost18.websamba.com/RL11F/Dis/[email protected] (147K)
Make sure you don't use your download manager for this - mine didn't work -
I was able to download it only using direct download.
"Dis@ is a utility to give information about all windows in OS, visible or
invisible, masked (password ***) or transparent. You can search by handle,
by title, class name, visibility, etc. Dis@ allows user to change some of a
window properties and styles. It is compact and universal. Works under all
Windows 32bit OSs."
Dis@ has an interesting "sniffing" tool. You move your mouse around the
screen, and as you hover your mouse over a window (or a portion thereof),
the information displayed in Dis@ changes. There is also a Tools Mode,
which allows you to do more with your windows. But rather than try to
describe it, the best thing is to download the file and review the
MHT-format webpage contained inside the ZIP.

I was trying to find what application put an "Image" tab in the properties
window for a JPG file. These programs didn't help me with that, but still
you may find the interesting and useful.
