window freeze

Upgraded from Win 98 to XP Home edition. Windows first
strated to freeze using IE6.0, but now are freezing in
Word, Excel, Controil Panel, etc....I have upgraded bios,
drivers etc. Any help would be appreciated.

You have upgraded video drivers - from the card or chip manufacturer's
WEBsite? If results are poor, ROLL BACK to the prior drivers.

Also be certain that all fans are working well, and that the case has
adequate ventilation.
