WINDOW and WINDOWS folders

***Note: I am a Newbie***
After bringing in my computer to a store for hardware upgrade and a
"clean-up" (ha-ha). My computer now has a WINDOW folder and a WINDOWS folder.
It seems that many but not all of the files in each may be duplicates. Is
this normal and how can I or should I clean this up. One is 3.24 GB and the
other is 4.95 GB.
