Winamp and MIcrosoft Messenger Problems...

Hiya,

I've got 2 problems, whether they are related I am not sure.

I've installed the latest version of WINAMP, however, after playing a few
songs, it often freezes and locks up my computer (running windows XP Home
edition). Sometimes I even just play one song and when it goes to the next,
it freezes yet again.

Same thing happens with my microsoft messenger (Version 7.5). When I use
it, my computer freezes and I have to re-start the whole system (can't do
ALT+CTRL+DEL, wont let me!). I have to use windows messenger only and Im
fine.

This is a new computer so I dont know why Im experiencing these problems? I
have tried to uninstall and re-install both programs. And no, windows
messenger is NOT running whilst im trying to run microsoft windows.

Anyone have any ideas please?

As you yourself have described, you have a problem with WinAmp, not with
Windows XP.
