Win98 and Xp, dual boot

I know that if I desire to set up a dual boot with Win98 and WinXP that I
need to install Win98 first. Does this still apply if I use a third party
partition manager (Partition Magic)? I'm wondering if the method they use to
hide partitions from one another would overcome the problems created when
WinXP is installed first. Thanks.

If you use such an external manager it is outside any OS and you can
install them in separate partitions as you wish. And can set things up
so that they can be hidden from each other. The one I use, which also
does all the partition management needed is BootIT NG, from
