Win95 to Win2000 Pro upgrade

Can you advise what updates are required to upgrade from
Win95 to Windows 2000 Pro. It is a stand alone pc for home
use.
What is the simplest way to do the upgrade?

You need to run the compatibility checker FIRST

You will also need a min 128gb mem, preferably 256gb min.

Its highly likely that much of yr hardware will need to be changed.
It maybe that yr hardware is not compatible/upgradeable in which case you
may well find that purchasing a new sys is the prefered option - it could be
not only cheaper but more advantageous to do so.
A lot may depend on what *exactly* you wish to run/do on the sys
