Win86.exe has error

I’ve started getting a MS pop-up box saying that there is an error in Win86.exe …the system will shutdown …send error report etc. When I click the pop-up the system does not shutdown, it carries on with no apparent problems.
Except that the R,T and F keys do not work!
Are these two problems related?
Additionally, in the internet connection ‘sign in pop-up box’ the username had been changed to a line of t’s! (tttttt etc)
Are all three things connected?
The system is up to date with all patches and virus free.
All solutions, information, ideas and tips most welcome.
