My Pc turned itself on this morning at 2am!! I can't remember the exact
wording but it was along the lines of "Win32 has encounted a problem".

What is Win32 and how do I stop the computer from doing this again (very
annoying at 2am). It has never happened before but last week I had to have
my V90 modem replaced with a V92. A computer technician did it for me as my
ISP did not support V92. As far as I know all he did was tick a box on the
PC.

Check if there is an auto-power-on feature in the BIOS. Since Windows
is not running when you turned the machine off, this can not be a
Windows issue.
