Win2Kpro and WinXP problem

I have a home network behind a Linksys 8-port router. I had 3-WinME
machines, 1-XP Pro, 1-XP Home and 1- Win2000 Pro machine and everything
functioned normally. I built a new system with a new OEM Win2000 Pro disk.
I replaced the XP Pro computer with the new one. I can see all computers
except the XP Home computer. The XP Home computer can see all computer
except the new 2K Pro computer. I can manually ping the XP Home from the
new 2k Pro machine but when I search for it by name, it does not find it and
vice versa. The XP Home machine was using the printer on my XP Pro (now 2k
Pro) machine. I have checked everything I can think of including matching
the settings to the old 2K Pro machine (which the XP Home box can see and
access) with no luck. I have created a user account for the XP machine on
the new 2k machine also without any luck. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
TIA

Yes, File and Print sharing is enabled on the new win2K machine. I can
access the internet and my mail through the new machine also. As far as the
NIC goes, I am using the onboard NIC (Nvidia NForce2).
Thanks for the answer, any other ideas?

How about Firewalls? Any software ones such as Zone Alarm that are on
either machine? If so try turning them off. Are you assigning IP addresses
manually? If so have you tried changing it? Just make sure you keep it in
the same subnet and have the correct subnet mask. If your using DHCP
assigned then try releasing and renewing the IP address and see.
Also have you tried finding a newer driver for your on board NIC?
