Win2K with Iomegaware 2.0 Corruption

I foolishly installed Iomegaware 2.0 on my W2K (Pro) OS
and met with a disaster. I have almost completely
recovered from this bomb blast except for one little
problem: I cannot connect to my ISP via the normal
Network and Dial-up Connections. I have installed
(repaired) my W2k OS, installed the SP2, called the ISP,
contacted Iomega and not one bit of help.

When I type in the ISP name (following the Wizard
instructions), the message I get in return is that
the 'name is invalid'. Any other name will roduce the
same result.

Any help out there?

george

Can you post the exact text of the error? Also check Event Viewer and Device
Manager for errors and or non-starting devices.

The exact 'error' message I received with I try to connect
to Bellsouth.net (after typing 'bellsouth' for the
connection name)is:

""bellsouth" is not a valid name. The entry name must
contain at least one character that is not a space and
cannot begin with a period. Choose a different name"

The name I type in is 'bellsouth', not periods and not
spaces.

In the 'Event Viewer', the System Log, there is a
repeating error for Service Control Manager (7023)and
RasMan (20035).

What should I do?

I would try the in-place upgrade.
