Win2K Sever IP address change not reflected on network

J

Jay

I have changed my Win2K server's IP address from 192.168.1.4 to
192.168.21.10. I have also changed the IP addresses of the two PCs on
my LAN.

When I ping 192.168.21.10 is works fine. From Windows Explorer, I am
also able to access files on the shared drives on the server using the
server's name.

However, if I ping <Server Name>, I get the message Pinging <Server
Name> [192.168.1.4] and Request Timed Out.

I thought, this would resolve itseflt in few days but it hasn't.
Please help!

Another question: I have a 2nd router on my network - how do I find
the IP address of this router?

Thanks.

Check your listening address on the Interfaces tab of the DNS properties
sheet.
