Win2k Server client login issue - Insight needed

I have the following issue, any insight is appreciated:

My Windows 2000 Server machine runs the domain with no
errors for a few weeks. Gradually, my 2kPro and XPPro
boxes will randomly not be able to logon to the domain.
Sometimes we will be successful at logging in, but the
mapped drives become unavailable. Once the server is
restarted the problem goes away for a few weeks, but it
always happens again.

Thanks for your input..
 
Have you checked the event logs (both on the server and on the clients) to
see if they have any clues?
