2 Win2K domains and 1 WinXP Client

In our office we have 2 Win2K servers, office and engineering. The 2
engineering server has a network cable going to the office server hub so we
can access both servers/domains. On our Win2K workstations we can logon to
our office domain, and thru network places logon to the engineering domain.
We are in the process of adding a WinXP workstation to the office domain and
it cannot connect to the engineering domain. I logon to office, go to
network places, click on the engineering server and it asks for the username
and password. When I type it in, it just keeps coming back to the same
screen. No error message, nothing. Does anybody have any suggestions of how
to correct the problem or even what the problem is?

Try logging in with the username preceded by the domain name, as so:

engineeringdomain\username

and then the password associated with the selected account on the
Engineering domain.
