Win2K repair on toshiba notebook

Hi , I have been getting the blue screen of death lately while using
Win2000 and now I am thinking of doing a "repair" using the recovery CDs.
Anyone done this who can give me some tips on how to do the "repair" using
the recovery CDs (there are 4 CDs).

If the recovery cd's are Toshiba cd's you might need to check with Toshiba,
as different manu. impliment differing methods.
NB you 'could' lose all data
