Win2K Pro slow to load on domain

I have a network where all the Win2K PC's take several minutes to log into
the domain. The Win98 machines load fast. The delay seems to be after
putting in the user name and password, at the "loading your personal
settings" part.
When I log into the local account on the PC, it goes in fast.

The server is a Win2K server. The PC's are Win2K Pro SP4.

I do not know the answer but have the same problem with 2 Win XP Pro
workstations out of 10 connecting to a Win 2K server so am also interested in
the answer.
