Win2K - not obtaining IP from DHCP

Shane

I am having trouble getting a Win2K system to abtain an
IP address from the DHCP server built into a D-Link DSL-
504 ADSL Router.
System previously worked fine but now will not obtain an
IP. Other systems on the network (WinXP, ME, 98) all
obtain IPs fine. If I specify an IP (192.168.100.70), I
can see the devices on the network and transfer files. I
have also manually set the gateway to the IP of the
router (192.168.100.1) but IE6 SP1 on the Win2K will not
browse. Will not even see the http page of the router.

When I set the Win2K machine back to Obtain an IP, it
configures for a autoconfiguration IP of 169.254.211.123
(or another similar).

I have removed TCP/IP and reinstalled, removed the
adapter (physically as well) and reinstalled.

DNS is also not working, I have entered the IP of the
router 192.168.100.1, and then tried the DNS IP of my ISP
and still no addresses get resolved.

Tried installing/reinstalling W2K SP4, IE6 SP1, DirectX
9.0b.

DHCP Client in Services is running (stopped it and
started it as well).

Anyone able to help please?

Stand down, fixed. Ran LSPFix and deleted inetadpt.dll
settings (I have no idea) and all is well.
