How does one finds the meaning of the error messages
logged in the Win2k VIEWER?
Sometimes I receive the message dmboot failed to open
Volume 2, 3, etc
Other times I see WARNING: Mrxmb event 8005
Other times ERROR: NetBT 4319

Is there a way for non-experts to search for the meaning
of such messages?

You can search the Microsoft Knowledge base at
http://support.microsoft.com/ for the event ID or error message. To
narrow the search, select your OS from the drop down product menu.
