My old Windows 98 machine finally died.

There are some files on the Win98 drive that I would like to transfer over
to my Win2kPro machine.

I changed the jumpers on the Win98 drive to "Slave" and plugged it into my
Win2kPro machine.
The drive is recognized as E, but it is seen as being unformatted.
Properties shows 'unknown file format'.

Is there anything I can do to make the info on the old Win98 drive readable
by the Win2kPro machine.

Thanks

- The disk uses some proprietary data compression scheme, or
- The disk is damaged.
