Win2000 remote desktop

I have been trying out WIN XP remote desktop sharing and
it works very well. The CPU usage is especially amazing.
I have tried a number of other packages e.g. RADadmin,
VNC, pc anywhere and find they use a lot of CPU in
comparison ( the application to be shared is a market-
data application and is very rich and has a lot of
activity).

However when I use Terminal Services on a WIN 2000 Server
machine (where the application is currently runnning), the
CPU usage is much higher. The Server machine runs on a
much more powerful hardware as compared to the XP Pro
machine.

The other thing is can I install Terminal Services on a
WIN 2000 Pro machine to share an application running on
it. If not, I will appreciate suggestions that are not
CPU hungry.

Thx

Natalie

No, you cannot run the server part of Terminal Services on a W2K
Pro workstation, you can only install the TS client and connect to
a W2K Terminal Server or a XP Pro workstation with Remote Desktop
enabled.
For a W2K Pro workstation, you need one of the packages that you
already have tested. NetMeeting could also be a possibility.
