Win2000 Prof and Quicken Premier 2004

Installing Quicken corrupted the OS so that upon rebooting
the system remained in a start-up shut down cycle.
There was no way to reboot the system. Are there issues
with Quicken Premier 2004 and Win2000 Prof?
