Win2000 DC restarted unexpectedly

Hi,

Recently, both of my domain controllers restarted unexpectedly with event ID
6008 being logged. I've check the event viewer log, there's no any
activities being performed to cause such unexpected restarts. This problem
causing my DC can't provide stable file sharing service for a few weeks
already. Could some experts help me to troubleshoot this problem? I've tried
to re-install one of them already, but the problem still exists. : (

Many thanks.

Sounds like a power outage.

If no BSOD's occur (Event ID: 1001 Source: Save Dump), then it may be a
power problem. I would look at a possible faulty (or undersized) pc power
supply, UPS, bad battery, or the circuit feeding the outlet that the pc is
plugged into.

Ocassionally, this happens with faulty hardware (mb/cpu) - unlikely here
though...
