re-installed xp, now it will only boot up manually(press F1 to initialize
boot) How do I fix this?

When I turn on the computer, instead of automatically going through boot up
and going to the sign-in, I have a black screen and I have to press F! to
boot up the computer.

Two possibilities
1. Bios settings
2. Everything else, including multiboot software-- and possibly some sort of
spyware/virus.

smartdrive mode no worry - no fix either - smrt drive built-in no-changable
feature - happened to my laptop when it started failing - really no fix uness
someone knows otherwise

What does it say as far as F1?
Does say manual start press F1?
Does it say press F1 for Setup?

make and model of computer ( to help troubleshoot from MFG website)??
