I attempted to put win xp on my computer that has win98se,
and then thought otherwise before completing the
installation. now every time I try to boot up my system i
get the choice to run xp or 98, and if I don't choose it
automatically goes to the xp os which was never completely
installed in the first place so it gives me an error and
tells me that the computer will restart.
is there anyway that I can get that options screen from
coming up when booting up so that my computer will start in
win98 mode automatically???

Edit the boot.ini file located in the c drive. Remove the reference to xp.

Boot your Win98 startup floppy and give
SYS C:
