Building a new system with all new hardware. When I try
and setup Win XP, I am able to format the hard drive, and
then copy files to hard drive. Then it reboots, and gives
screen, asking where I what partition I want to install
on. If I chose the partition that I copied files to to
begin with, it says another OS is there. Can't get past
this.

I got in a hurry when I posted the first msg.
I am booting from the CD. Setup starts, formats hard
drive, then copies files to drive. After it copies files,
system reboots. When Setup starts again, i am at the
screen to select Install drive again. If I try and select
the drive again, it says a windows os is already there. I
can't get to the next stage of setup.
Sorry for the confusion

Remove the CD after it boots so you boot to the hard drive.
