win xp recov install gone south

Hi,
Recently i encountered problems with my computer that
forced me to attempt a recovery installation. Everything
went fine. After the neccessary were copied fromt he win
xp pro disk to the computer it restarte, however, after
the winxp loading screen an error message popped up
about "insufficient system resources to complete.." which
was all i could decipher before it restarted. It then
proceeds to loop indefinantly after passing the windows xp
setup resuming.... page, however, i was presented with a
different message after several restarts about " Not
enough virutal memory of paging.." which was all i could
read before it restarted... any help would be appreciated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated it

yes i started by putting the xp cd into the drive. then
the press any key to boot from cd... comes up. I had to
do a recovery install not to long ago and i followed the
exact same procedure. So i dont believe it is due to
setup, but issues with the computer. I ran chkdsk from
the windows repair disk, so i dont believe its a hardware
problem. Thanks.
