Win XP Pro

Hello

I am currently running Win Me (came with my laptop) on a Acer TravelMate
350- Intel 700MHz, 248MB Ram, 16MB video ram

I formated my hard drive, booted from Win XP Pro and intalled it, downloaded
and missing drivers (it seems this machine was really designed around/ for
Win Me), in a nutshell, fine-tuned it as much as I could.

I notice however than the display simply isn't as 'crisp' as on Win Me. I
found the Win XP driver for my video card (Trident CyberBlade AGP-2X),
installed it but still the screen isn't as sharp as with Win Me.

Anyone knows the possible reasons why?

Go to the Display applet and I believe you will find a tab called
"Desktop" and on that tab, a button called "effects". Click on that and
enable Clear Type.

In Display - Appearance click Effects and make sure that Font smoothing
using Cleartype is selected. That usually makes a lot of difference to
an LCD screen, but is off by default.
