Win XP Pro setup

I have an Acer Travelmate 290 laptop that came with all the cds etc

I have noticed that the drive is fat32, but would like it NTFS

I have tried using the supplied Acer setup disks that have XP Pro on them
and done a clean install. but it wont let me format the drive as NTFS and
there is no prompt allowing me to do so.

Can anyone help
