FAT32 TO NTFS

G

Glenn Kendall

Hi,
I own a brand new travelmate 290, running windows XP Professional
It currently uses the FAT32 file system, and I want to use NTFS for various
reasons.

I have tried the convert command, but it fails every time

I have tried re-installing the operating system with the cd's that Acer
supplied with the machine (not Microsoft branded)

It re-installs the operating system, but does not give me the option of
choosing which file system I would like to use.

The installation is fully automatic.

I would like to use my supplied cd's and use the NTFS file system.
Does anyone know how.

Thanks
Glenn (e-mail address removed)

Hi Glenn,

You're welcome, but Alex Nichol deserves the credit (he wrote it, I only
pointed you there).
