Win XP Pro Checked Build

Dan

Where can I obtain a checked build of Win XP Pro in an ISO format?

This was asked previously and was answered with a link t
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=7a4d8d12-9f5d-42bb-b31c-7b31657c869c

but that is for a network install with an .exe file. How would I use this
..exe to install a checked build of the operating system onto a PC? Do I need
an existing OS running on the target PC for this to work? If using a
bootdisk, how do I make the .exe file available for install?

The MSDN/Technet subscription appears to only include the network install
indicated in the link above.

Thanks,
Dan

Why will a CD/DVD not do? If the reason is because you want to load
the ISO onto a file server and install it that way i can understand
otherwise I am not sure exactly what you want to achieve.

You can create your own ISO, using software like Magic ISO to create
the image from a CD or from files on the hard drive, then you have
everything ready in a bootable ISO format, which you could mount
using software like daemon tools, or burn to a disc.

Flamer.

I'm trying to create a CD/DVD. That's why I'm looking for the ISO image.
I'm writing a kernel driver and trying to troubleshoot some very strange
random blue-screens that I'm getting. I'm trying to install the Windows XP
Pro Checked build onto a test box to assist in my troubleshooting.

Can I create a bootable ISO from the network install file
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-DEBUG-ENU.exe?

Thanks,
Dan
