WIN XP - PATCH KB905749 - will not connect IPOD

I have a problem connecting my IPOD Nano to my XP SP2 home PC when the
patches below are installed.
Prior to the installing of these patches all work fine but once XP installed
these patches I could no longer connect my IPOD.

XP would see the IPOD as a Drive, but the IPOD software was unable to locate
the IPOD, I uninstalled the IPOD software and then reinstalled the software
again the PC found the IPOD as a drive and the IPOD could not. I went to the
IPOD support pages on the WEB and found the page about IPOD not connecting
and tried the solutions but still the IPOD software could not see the device.

As this problem did not occur until XP installed the Patches I un-installed
them all, and now the IPOD software find the device again.

MSoft XP Patches
KP-896688
KP-901017
KP-902400
KP-905414
KP-905749
KP-904706
KP-900725

I have loaded all of the patches in order to find which one is causing the
problem.
My PC is now fullly patched apart from KB905749.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905749
each time I load this patch I lose my IPOD connect with the PC. as soon as I
remove KB905749 I get the IPOD software connecting to the IPOD
As this patch looks into the "Vulnerability in Plug and Play could allow
remote code execution and local elevation of privilege" Can MS help to
address this problem

Contact MS tech support. This is a peer support newsgroup and MS
doesn't officially provide support here.
