Hi

Running Win XP SP2/ Internet Explorer on a laptop (Celeron
2.4 ghz, 192 ram) have joined BT Broadband Basic.

Have installed modem & software, runs fine, internet
explorer does not open any websites, says no connection,
howver modem dials in fine, no problem.

Also, as soon as i start up the laptop, winxp says new
hardware found, being a pci modem and a vga video card.
Have tried removing, does not make any difference.

Any adive?

Thanks

Reinstall your modem and video card drivers. Get them from your laptop
mftr.'s website, not from Windows Update. It sounds to me like the BT
Broadband software may have affected other drivers.
