Win XP Home Licensing Question

T

Tom

I have a new client that has several machines with XP Home. They also have
Active Directory installed at the server. I want to upgrade the units to XP
Pro so the boxes can join the AD domain however, as always, cost is an
issue.

Does an XP Home license 'cover' Win 2000?

Thanks,
Tom

No, it doesn't. You'd need to buy a Windows 2000 Professional upgrade
license. Given that, you may as well get an XP Pro upgrade (that's assuming
you could even purchase Windows 2000).
