Win XP Home disk labels

MY XP installation had become very sluggish so I ran a program - O+O
TotalErase - to wipe my hard drive and re-install Win XP Home (full
version). Everything seemed to go well and seem to work OK except that my
original
main drive C: drive has been re-labelled F: and all other drives were also
re-labelled. The main problem lies with my Zip drive which is now re-labelled
C: I can read/write from the Zip disk but can't format it - message says it
can't format because the disk in drive C: is my boot disk. I have tried
Windows Disk Management utility but it won't let me re-label my main drive -
message: Windows cannot modify the drive letter of your system volume or boot
volume. Does anyone know how I might undo the problem? O+O Software support
have washed their hands of it saying it is a Windows problem --

When reloading an OS, one detaches all peripheral devices except keyboard,
mouse and monitor..
