Win XP group policy some work and others don't

I need some help here, I have a win2k domain (2dc's 5 member servers)
and 100 wrkstations.(it is a school) students have mandatory profiles
and folder-redirection along with other policies set for them all
policies work ,except the home page in IE6 on the win XP machines. I
have tried gpresult, gpotool, same users get everything applied on the
win2k pro pc's put not on the XP pro pc's.Policies are set both on the
site level and the ou level with the appropiate linking to the ou. I
am lost and cannot find a posting . What have i missed??????? John E
