Tom

I have a computer running Windows XP Professional. It
started making some clicking sounds at which point I
tried restarting the computer. Now, everytime I try to
restart it gives me the message "disk read error, press
Crtl + Alt + Delete to restart." I do this but the disk
read error just pops up again. Any help? Thanks.

This may not be the case with yours, but everytime I've
seen that message, I've found that my hard drive is going
to fail all the way. In my case, the disk read errors
were caused by bad sectors on the hard drive.
