I want to download all the WIN XP updates to CD so that I
only have to download them once. I am unable to get the
updates to save to a folder, so I can copy them to a CD.

The downloads want to update my computer straight away,
not giving me an option.

Any idea's ?

They download initially to Temporary Internet FIles. Go to Control
Panel - INternet Options, and click Delete Files (for convenience), then
click Settings. Now set out to get your updates. At the point where it
sets out to install, before accepting, take the View files in that Temp
Internet Files dialog, and copy the downloaded .exe files out to safety.
