win xp and nt

im trying to install a game on my comp that is win xp, it says it will not work because of it being a nt system, how can i fix this?

Let me guess, its an old game
You can do 2 things at this point really

1) visit the game manufacturer's website to see if they have a patch or some
instructions to make their game work on XP.

2) Right-click the shortcut you run the game with, choose 'properties' from
the menu that appears, and then click the compatability tab. Experiment with
the options under this tab to see if you can fool the game into running.

Well, if the game won't install using a Win9x compatibility mode,
you'll probably have to find a newer version of it, one designed for
WinXP.
