Win XP and Multiple Accounts/Users

I have a question about having multiple Users / Accounts in Windows XP
(Home and Pro).

If I am using an account with administrator privileges and then install
and run a program such as Norton Anti Virus from this account, will this
programs also check/clean the Limited account users (i.e., will it
access all of the HDD regardless of the user)?

Conversely, if I run the anti-virus program from a Limited account
(assuming I can access it since it was installed via an account with
admin privileges), will it only check/clean that part of the HDD which
has files corresponding to the Limited account?

Thanks,
Harvey

XP home (and Pro too) does not limit access to any part of the HDD so
you can scan it all. In any case the scanning is probably a task with
admin privilege. The "security" of the users feature in XP is a bit
thin if you're used to Linux, VMS et al.

Thanks. One more question. Will the anti-virus program give protection
(i.e., auto-protect, automatic email scanning, etc) in those account
with Limited privilege?

Thanks,
Harvey
