I have a copy of Win Vista 32 Home Premium which was supplied with my Dell Machine,,,

Question is will it work on my other machine if i decide to install it with the product key,, and also am i legally allowed to do this??? i've tried the cd in my other machine and it boots fine and seemingly looks like it may install !!!!

After all i paid for the software surely i must be able to use it wherever i want ?? or am i mistaken ????

cheers

the CD can be used on any machine but the key is only allowed to be used on your dell machine, it will work etc but its illegal

Is it a 'Full' version or a Dell Disc?
I used to support Dell pc's at work & the Operating System Disc supplied with Dell's are coded so they only work as Me_2001 states with Dell pc's.

If you managed to get the Dell Disc working on another pc as soon as you went to register the software with Microsoft they can tell wether the software is with a Dell pc, failure for this to be the case & you will have a pc that will not work!!!!
