Win PX now asking my to click user icon

Previously when I turned my laptop on the Win XP Pro "Welcome screen"
appeared, waiting for me to input my password to my account (the only
user account on the PC).

Now it is asking me to click on the user icon before inputing the
password a real pain on a laptop (due to the touchpad/pointing stick).
Is there anyway to change it back so that I can just input my
password without clicking on the user icon first.

I want to keep the password facility (therefore autologon would not
solve the problem)

I have tried:
-Tweak UI (only my account is ticked in the logon page of tweakUI)
-Amending the registery in-case it was .net framework causing the
problem.

But it is still asking my to click on the user icon first.!!

Please help...

why don't u try disabling the welcome screen, then you would get the logon prompt instead of the welcome screen wherein the username would already be entered and you would just have to enter the password and ENTER
