Hello

I have a problem with Windows Explorer on xp. When I browse by double
clicking on the folder name on the right side of the screen i get an error
message "Access denied". if I single clik on the left side, i can browse and
open subfolders normally. i can't seem to be able to fix this, it's not a
problem related to permissions. Any ideas?

Many thanks
Luca

PS: i can post/email a screeshot if necessary

Hi Luca,

Does this happen when you double-click a folder in the Desktop? Also, when
in Windows Explorer, what's the default option (shown in Bold letters) when
you right-click a folder?

Meanwhile, apply the Directory and Folder association fixes from here
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

Hi Ramesh,

I run the directory and folder association fixes you suggested and it did
the trick - thanks a lot!

To answer you 2 questions: it happened when clickink on the desktop folders
and the default option was Open, but I tried everything and nothing worked.

Thanks again (a life saver!)
Luca
